Privacy and data protection
Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Sibog respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with applicable law, including Brazil's General Data Protection Law — Law No. 13,709/2018 (LGPD). This policy explains what data may be processed when you visit this website or contact us, why it is processed, and how you can exercise your rights.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of data processed through this website is Sibog, a software development project operated by Vinícius. For questions or requests about personal data, use the website contact form and include “Privacy” in your message.
2. Data we process and why
- Contact messages: the name, email address, and message you choose to send through the contact form. We use this data to reply, understand your request, and, where relevant, discuss a potential engagement or provide the services you requested.
- Technical browsing data: when this website loads, hosting and external resource providers may receive technical information needed for the connection, such as your IP address, browser, device, and request time. This information may be used to deliver and protect the website and load requested resources.
The form does not ask for sensitive personal data. Please do not send sensitive information or another person's data unless it is necessary and you are authorized to do so.
3. Legal bases
We process contact form data to respond to a request you made and, where applicable, to take steps related to a potential contract (LGPD Article 7(V)). We may also process or retain data when necessary to meet legal or regulatory obligations, exercise rights in proceedings, or protect the website and our rights, subject to the LGPD. If a specific activity relies on consent, we will ask for it and you may withdraw it.
4. Service providers and sharing
We use third-party services to operate the website and receive messages:
- FormSubmit receives contact form data, applies spam controls, and forwards the message to the website operator. The service's public documentation says submissions may be available for up to 30 days. The message may also remain in the recipient's email inbox for as long as needed to respond and keep a record of the conversation. See FormSubmit's privacy policy.
- GitHub Pages hosts this website's files and may process technical connection data to make the site available. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.
- Google Fonts provides the typefaces loaded on this page. When they are requested, your browser connects to Google's servers, which may receive technical connection data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
These providers may process data in other countries depending on each service's infrastructure and terms. We do not sell personal data. We may also share data when required by law or necessary to protect rights.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not intentionally set its own advertising or analytics cookies. Third-party resources, such as the form and external fonts, may use technologies or technical records needed to provide and secure their services. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; blocking third-party resources may affect some features or the appearance of the website.
6. Retention and security
We keep messages for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on the request. After that, we delete or anonymize the data where possible, unless it must be retained to meet legal or regulatory obligations, exercise rights, or satisfy another ground allowed by the LGPD. FormSubmit sets its own retention period, which may change; as of this policy's date, its documentation says submissions are retained for up to 30 days.
We take reasonable steps to limit access to data and reduce risks. No electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Your rights
Under the LGPD, you may request, as applicable:
- confirmation that we process your data and access to it;
- correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
- anonymization, blocking, or deletion of data that is unnecessary, excessive, or processed in breach of the law;
- deletion of data processed with consent, subject to legal retention exceptions;
- information about data sharing and whether you can refuse consent, where applicable; and
- withdrawal of consent, where consent is the legal basis, as well as the right to petition Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) and other rights provided by law.
To make a request, use the contact form and write “LGPD Request” in your message. We may ask for information to verify your identity and locate the data. We will respond within the applicable legal timeframes and procedures.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website, the services we use, or the law. The current version will remain available at this URL, with its last updated date at the top of the page.
